I love asking a My Happy Place client about the colors or style they envision for their bedroom. This client requested navy and yellow, so navy and yellow she did get.
After sourcing items for the bedroom, here is the initial mood board I developed.
To get the room started, our painter, Eileen Miller, donates her time to paint the room. The paint is also donated by PPG Paints.
Knowing many accent colors would be navy in the room, I really wanted a crisp, white paint. I chose Delicate White by PPG Paints. Here she is with a fresh coat!
The next day, Leon Christianson, who donates and lays all the carpet, came in and laid a beautiful grey carpet for the family to enjoy.
And then it was our turn! Saturday was a busy day of work between furniture delivery and set-up by Furniture Mattress Outlet, electrical work by Drew Heuberger and Kyle Rodgers, and general contract work by Terry and Nan Gibson.
Terry and Nan graciously hung blinds, curtain rods, and mounted a TV for us!
Two flush mounts and a ceiling fan later, Drew and Kyle made beautiful new lighting in the room possible!
And then it was Anna and my turn to add the bedding and decor. Here are the final results!
I love these wall hangings from Maple Lane. I think they add an awesome touch of warmth and texture to the room.
I’ve used this maple tree from Target in two rooms now. It’s definitely a favorite!
Her faith is very important to the client, and I loved this Fruit of the Spirit sign from Peachy Keehn Boutique, as well as the bowl and wood/mossy fillers.
