If you have a grandma like mine who is always requesting more printed pictures of her beloved grandchildren, and if you’re like me who rarely prints pictures, then this post will help get you back on good terms with granny! Find the links to each app at the end of the post.

I tried out three different photo card apps and each had it’s own perks. Read on to see which might be best for you!
Ink Cards
Ink Cards has been my go-to photo card app for a few years now. After choosing your card’s theme and photo, a postcard is sent in the mail to your recipient.

I usually choose a the Classic option for $2, but you can upgrade to Premium for $4 that includes an envelope, or get a Card Pack and order as many as needed.

How cute is this one from my sister after my nephew’s birthday?! Personalize a message on the back, and sign your name in your own handwriting if you’re prefer. Purchase credits for a cheaper price per card if you’d like, and enjoy this app as it’s about as user-friendly as it gets!
Felt
The Felt app was recommended to me by a friend so I thought I’d give it a try to see how it differs from Ink Cards.

The first obvious difference was the ability to subscribe to sending three cards for $6 each month if you’d like. This would help keep the grandmas happy with a consistent card!
Another difference is this app allows you to choose from multiple layouts: single photo all the way up to an accordion fold with four photos on each side.

I wasn’t sure if I wanted to subscribe, so I tried a three-photo accordion fold to start, and the total cost was $6.60.

This app also allows you to send cards to groups or events, which is a neat feature.
Social Print Studio
When my step-sister told me she was saving Christmas cards so her daughter could learn the names of her out-of-state relatives, I immediately ordered the CUTEST little photo books to send her. And they’re magnetic!

There are a ton of really cute prints and items you can order on their app. I love the idea of a desk calendar as a gift!

This app seemed most like the Shutterfly site we already know, with many options that would make great gifts, or for larger prints to put in a frame.
Snail Mail Smiles
Whether you want to send a quick card for two bucks, like the idea of a subscription service, or are looking for a special gift, each app provides a little bit of a different experience and service, so I hope this helps you send some joy in the snail mail to friends and loved ones.
