The fact that I love fresh flowers and plants so much always makes me giggle, considering I have a very distinct memory of coming home one day in high school to my mom’s freshly planted garden bed of faux flowers flanking our sidewalk!
That’s right. Picture the most beautiful fake flowers Walmart or Dollar General has to offer guiding you straight to our door, never needing a drop of water, surviving the scorching sun no matter what, doing fine as long as the wind didn’t blow their lack-of-roots away.
And for those who know my mom know she is laughing as she reads this and will wholeheartedly admit to all of it with a squinted smile on her face.
While I haven’t graduated to a large, luxurious garden like some of my uber-talented friends, I do appreciate a good pot, and thought I’d share some finds I’m enjoying this summer.
This raised flower bed from Walmart was inexpensive and really easy to put together.
Another recent find is this green outdoor canvas bucket. I would get so annoyed if I was planting flowers and realize I forgot my gloves across the yard, so this large bucket will be great to carry with me everywhere.
