We all have those rooms in our home where we struggle to find a vision for it. Sometimes it’s easier to just keep the door closed! My friend had this same struggle with her guest room, and asked if I could help.
Before

The paint was the same from when they bought the home and was a sea foam green color. She said they weren’t tied to it, but they did want to keep the same furniture. She liked the idea of neutral colors with pops of navy and greenery, but from there she was open to suggestions!
The Mood Board

To begin, I suggested the paint color Chantilly Lace by Benjamin Moore. It’s a really pretty white and a nice neutral, which was what she was looking for.
Next, I included temporary wallpaper to use as an accent wall. They had decided to rearrange the room a bit, and the headboard would now look great against this wallpaper.
Since the bedroom furniture was black, I thought these nightstands would add a nice natural element to the room but also tie into the black furniture. This was also my thought with the black wall sconces.
From there, we added pops of navy in her throw pillows and wall art. We did white bedding to keep the room neutral, and added neutral elements like the glass table lamp and wood decor. More details below!
The Update!

We used this trick for the wall sconces so no hard wiring was required!

They rocked it! It’s so crazy to look at the before and afters. I looove the wallpaper and the impact it makes on the entire room!
What’s your favorite part? Good work, Aaron and Beth!
