This post is written by my sister, Anna Handley, after her and her husband successfully flipped their second home. Do they enjoy this or are they gluttons for punishment? I’ll let you decide. Enjoy the transformation!

Here’s Anna:
Have you ever been asked to do something you didn’t really want to do but then after you did that thing you are really happy you did it?
I guess that’s exactly how I would describe my husband and I‘s second fixer-upper.
To bring you up to speed, we first started our fixer-upper journey in 2017 as my husband continued to say, ”keep an open mind” when we were driving to the first property.
After purchasing, we spent countless hours ripping down sheet rock, removing hardware, filling holes and wearing n95s before I knew they‘d become part of my nursing uniform a few years later.
After the first property was complete, we put it on the market because my husband found yet another “deal” we couldn’t pass up!
I was a little more hesitant with this project because I was pregnant with our first baby. I wanted to be involved with the design and was a-ok with hiring more help this go around.
After purchasing our second home to flip, we welcomed our daughter into this world while living in the basement. We survived on an electric skillet, crockpot and air fryer. We washed pots, pans, and nursing supplies in a small bar sink for months.
Once we moved upstairs, I think I was most excited for the dishwasher. I was so ready to start our little family in this home. Each piece came together and this house transformed better than we could have ever envisioned.
