I know not all agree, but I love that wallpaper is back climbing the walls of our homes. Maybe some disagree because they’ve experienced the less than fun time of taking glued paper back down, and for that I can appreciate their sentiment.
But for this post, I’m happy to list wallpapers I’ve ordered that I’ve truly loved. There are a mix of peel-and-stick and glue, and while peel-and-stick is great for less permanent decisions, glue is definitely more forgiving and easier to work with. And obviously lasts longer.
And side note, you’re not supposed to only do an accent wall anymore. It’s supposed to be the whole room. Sometimes even the ceiling. Please don’t be upset with me, I’m just relaying the message I was given.
Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, let us begin!
And PS: I’m sharing a sneak peek of two that are going to be installed soon in our home and the barn at the end!
What I’ve Loved
Let’s first begin with the peel-and-stick I used in the guest room last year. The walls in this room are more of a plastic texture, so I went into the project knowing I’d likely be using glue, which I did. I really love the cottagey vibe this wallpaper brings, and would definitely recommend!
This wallpaper is from the Chris Love’s Julia line and is the color Nova Mist Blue.

Prior to Grace’s bedroom update I did this spring, I added this strip of wallpaper to her bedroom door that is quite dated. There is zero sign of wear after lots of use! I was also able to customize the colors to match her room.

For Adeline’s birthday she requested a bedroom refresh and wanted an underwater theme. She has a little nook in her room where I added this peel-and-stick wallpaper and it’s still looking so good!

Other Options
If wallpaper of any kind seems too daunting or expensive, decals and stencils are another great way to make an impact. Here are a few I’ve also used in the past!

These paw prints look so cute in my nephews’ room. I ordered them on Etsy, where you can find all kinds of options.

In this My Happy Place bedroom makeover, I added these decals to the tops of the walls. They turned out so cute and if you’re local, please consider Central Design Company. These ladies came through in the 11th hour for me as original decals I ordered didn’t get shipped in time for installation. I wasn’t aware of Central Design Company’s business, otherwise I would have ordered there first!

Stenciling is another great option that is super affordable! The stencil was only $15 on Etsy.
Sneak Peeks

Last April we stayed in charming Charleston and I cannot wait to go back someday. Between all the architecture, history, and colors, it’s impossible to not be inspired.

As our group was walking into a restaurant near our hotel to watch the Iowa Hawkeye women play the University of South Carolina in the title game, I couldn’t get over the wallpaper that adorned the outside and bathroom walls. I took a few pictures, and upon returning home I was able to source the wallpaper on Pinterest and am having it installed in the barn bathroom! I cannot wait.

Do you remember when I ordered a bunch of wallpapers for the fireplace room many months ago? I picked one! Soon Tove in Misty Blue by Sandberg wallpaper will be installed, and I think it will look so calm and relaxing in the winter, and beautiful next to the pool in the summer.
